Reporting CSVs are changing, giving you better visibility into your Uber for Business activity and spend.

Based on feedback from our customers, we’re making updates to the reporting CSVs (Comma Separated Value files) to give you better visibility into your Uber for Business transactions, making reconciliation and reporting easier.

What’s changing?

• Transaction type

  Each trip can have multiple transactions, such as an added tip or adjustment to a fare at a later time. We’ve separated each transaction type, similar to a credit card statement, with each row in the file correlating to a distinct transaction.

  Previously, each trip was represented by a single row with no chronological data showing adjustments and tips added. Each trip still has a unique ID, so you can sort by column A to group each trip’s transactions together.

• Transaction breakdown

  To make reconciliation easier, the fare, taxes, tips, and estimated service fee are broken out into separate columns for each transaction.

  Affected columns: AC – AL

• Service fee per trip

  We’ve made it easier to reconcile what service fees, if any, were charged or refunded on each trip transaction with an estimated service fee column. This amount is an estimate based on the total service fee, divided proportionally amongst transactions within the reporting period.

  New column: AL

• Service fee total

  In addition to the estimated service fee being represented proportionally in each transaction, we’ve added the total service fee charge in the reporting period to the last row of your CSV.

  New row: (Bottom row)

• Currency conversion

  Each transaction is shown in both the local currency in which the trip was taken, as well as converted into the currency in which your account is billed.

  Affected columns: AC – AL

• Timestamps

  Every transaction now has a timestamp associated with it. Your CSV also includes dates and timestamps in the local time in which the trip was taken, as well as in UTC.

  New columns: B, G, H

• Payment method

  The payment method used for each transaction is now shown in more detail. If your account is charged for each trip individually, this will appear as the card type and last four digits. If your account is billed monthly, this will show up as either “Monthly Billing Credit Card” or “Monthly Billing Bank Transfer”.

How to get your report

Your report is emailed monthly. You can view and download historical monthly reports in the Billing and Activity tabs of your account dashboard.
