June 4—10 | Feast Caribbean Food Week
Request a ride to Markham Park to feast in the world’s best Caribbean food during the week of June 4. You’ll enjoy tropical cuisine, street food, drinks, art, and much more.
June 5—30 | Festival Kids Fun Days
For family fun including crafts and games, head to Festival Flea Market Mall between 10am and noon all throughout June. For an affordable ride there, request an uberX—it’ll fit up to 4 riders. Have a big family? Request an uberXL, which fits up to 6. Admission is free.
June 10 | Anime Festival
City of Sunrise Civic Center will host a one day Anime Festival, from 4—7pm on June 10. You’ll find a gallery of animated movies, calligraphy, origami, as well as a performance by the Taiko Dojo Drummers.
June 11 | U2 at Hard Rock Stadium
Straight from Ireland, U2 will be hitting the stage at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday, June 11 at 7pm.
If you’re planning to sing along at the concert, save time by requesting an Uber to the stadium. As the exclusive rideshare partner of the Hard Rock Stadium, there’s an exclusive Uber Zone. After the concert, use the northeast exit and walk east to Lot 14, the Uber Zone. Once there, you’ll be able to locate your ride.
June 12 | Summer Session
Still deciding what activities to sign the kids up for this month? Center State Performing Arts is hosting summer camp sessions, that will teach them how to act, sing, and dance. Then, you’ll get the exciting opportunity to see your future Broadway star perform on stage in July.
June 14 | Painting with a Twist
Unlock your creativity at Fort Lauderdale’s Vu New River for an evening of painting, snacks, and a side of wine. Tickets are $15 and if you head to the Vu at 6:15pm you can catch a VIP Community Tour before your brush hits the canvas.
June 17 | Wilton Manor’s Stonewall Parade & Festival
June marks 48 years since the Stonewall riots, which were the start of the gay rights movement. To honor the anniversary, take part in Ft. Lauderdale’s largest LGBT event. The parade will kick off at 4pm on Wilton Drive.
June 23 | Take your Dog to Work Day
If you’re a pup lover, you should know that ‘Take Your Dog to Work Day’ is June 23! If you’re not a dog person, you might want to work from home this day.
