Uber QLD Prices are Changing
We’re decreasing prices this
Winter to increase earnings
We are excited to announce that tonight, Tuesday 16th June at midnight, Uber prices in QLD are decreasing by 10% for a limited time.
All over the world, price reductions have proven to increase partner earnings. Making Uber even more affordable for the average Queenslander will see a large increase in those who use Uber and how often they take rides.
You will be busier. Melbourne and Perth partners recently saw significant increases in trips per hour after prices were decreased.
Additionally, Uber is investing in you by launching a large paid social media and radio ad campaign to increase rider numbers (see bottom of post).
This is a winter trial and we will be re-evaluating pricing in August to ensure partner earnings are maximised.
What is the price change?
The result of this change is that the average Uber fare in Brisbane will be 10% lower.
We believe in this and
we will guarantee it!
We wouldn’t do this if didn’t firmly believe that this change would increase your earnings. Across the week, until further notice we will be guaranteeing minimum average gross fares for 78 hours (previously only 6). We’ve got your back.

Conditions: Accept 90% of all request and complete at least 1 trip per hour.
This has worked in other cities
This price change has been carefully considered by the Uber team and it will help the business grow in Queensland. If our partners don’t succeed, we don’t succeed.

What does this mean for you
Like any change, this will take some time to filter through.
State of Origin – Game 2!
Get ready for a BUSY Wednesday night as QUEENSLANDERS take to pubs over town to support their maroons!

Anticipate two big rushes:
- Getting there: 5pm-8pm
- Getting home: 10pm-12 midnight
If you’re a fan, do watch the game, these hours are quiet.
We are proud to launch
our QLD ad campaign!
In a first for all of Australia, we have launched a paid media campaign to spread the message across QLD that Uber is here to stay while clearing up a few misunderstandings.
We firmly believe that this is a great investment and will attract more riders and help keep you busier.
Thank you to all of the driver partners who shared their stories.
Keep an eye out for ads on the radio and online!
