Uber GC is Official!
The Gold Coast hosted the official Uber launch party last Thursday night!
This huge event put Uber into more hands than ever and showed the Gold Coast that Uber is changing the way people move and we are here to stay!
Each week we see more and more riders downloading the Uber app on the Gold Coast and having GREAT experiences with drivers! The above photo was taken from the Uber GC Launch Party last Thursday!
We thank you for being part of the positive change we are bringing to the Gold Coast! We have proudly built a terrific platform and are very pleased that drivers and riders on the Gold Coast are enjoying Uber!
We have two dedicated marketing managers who are expanding the ridership on the Gold Coast each week! They were behind last week’s launch party, Uber’s work with the Gold Coast Sevens and will continue to integrate Uber as a way of life.
We are finalising a number of LARGE events for this weekend! Expect to see a number of events and to be kept very busy across Friday, Saturday AND Sunday!
Communicating a cancellation
We recommend always calling or messaging a Rider prior to cancelling any trip. If you have arrived and they are not at the indicated location wait for a brief period and contact the Rider to confirm the location or to let them know you have arrived.
This ensures the rider is informed as to why you need to cancel and you are using your time efficiently.
Quality – Car Smells
Riders provide us with great feedback on the trips they take and it is overwhelmingly positive. Sometimes they give us some helpful hints and tips for Drivers.
The main feedback is to be sure that their are no strong smells or odours in your vehicle or on you. Riders have informed us they give a low rating for trips with smells. This includes cars smelling of cigarette smoke, food smells, and personal odours.
Riders appreciate quality, clean drivers. If you have started to receive lower than usual ratings this may be the source!
