Uber doesn’t just exist in a city, it becomes woven into the fabric of daily city life.
In more than 300 cities around the world we aim to facilitate transportation options that make it cheaper, more convenient, and safer for everyone to get from A to B, and Perth is no exception.
Perth’s train network has a small footprint and is only accessible to a relatively low percentage of the population. You can see in this diagram that there are many suburbs that remain untouched and people in those areas have to find other ways of getting around town.
This is where Uber steps in. We help to fill gaps in the public transport network by offering people a safe, cheap and reliable ride right across the metropolitan area. As the next diagram illustrates, our network extends well beyond the suburbs that are lucky enough to have a train line nearby.
We know there are lots of ways to get from A to B. Uber complements existing transport options, such as public transport, by extending the existing network. This illustration shows Uber trips that have started a long distance from a train station and ended at a train station, thereby extending the public transport network and making it more accessible to thousands of people.
