Change is Coming
The people have spoken and the Queensland Government has listened. Today, the commencement of the Personalised Transport Services Review was announced.
This is a huge step forward and one you should be very excited about.
This morning on ABC612 Radio, Transport Minister, Jackie Trad justified the need for a review by stating “what we’re seeing through digital disruption is that people are voting with their feet. They want a different sort of service and more variety in the service they are getting”.
Change will not happen overnight, we do appreciate your patience while the review is carried out. As we’ve seen in the ACT with the full legalisation of ridesharing is that pragmatic, safety based regulation is on its way.
Update on Recent Incidents
Unfortunately, there were a string of isolated incidents that occurred in the early hours of Monday morning.
Police have been extremely proactive in ensuring the culprits of these incidents and handled appropriately. We’ve been working closely with them to assist in any way we can.
We’ve been speaking closely to impacted partners to do our very best to get them back on the road as soon as possible.
