Join a fleet in Austria
If you do not have a licensed company, you can use the Uber app as a driver. In this case you are employed by a licensed company. You cannot drive with your private car. Let's get started!

Which documents do drivers need?

Valid driver's license
For EEA driving licenses outside Austria, drivers additionally need their registration form. Please note that your driving license should not be issued less than 6 months ago.
Valid photo ID
Vienna taxi driver's license
A reduced service fee of 15% applies to all journeys made by the driver if he uploads a Vienna taxi driver's ID to the Uber app
How to sign up as a driver
You have 3 options for signing up as a driver. Either you already have an Uber account or not. In all cases you will be employed by a licensed company. You cannot drive with your private car in AT.
1. You already have an Uber account
Please switch fleet partner on your own on help.uber.com or in your Uber app: "Help > account & payment > Managing drivers and fleet partners > I want to switch my fleet partner":
2. You do not have an Uber account yet
Your fleet partner creates an Uber account for you. Please approach to him.
3. You do not have an Uber account yet
You create an Uber account for yourself at partners.uber.com and then switch to your fleet partner. See first point on how to switch partners. Find more info on how to create an account below.
You already have an Uber account
Open help.uber.com in a browser or tap on "help" in the menu of your Uber driver app.
Follow the following articles: "Help > Account and payment > Managing drivers and fleet partners > I want to switch my Fleet Partner"
Fill in all information needed. Check that this information is correct, otherwise your profile cannot be switched to your new fleet partner.
It can take up to 24 hours on business days. There can be delays on weekends or holidays. Your new fleet partner does not need to contact the support.
You do not have an Uber account
Here are the steps if you want to sign up on your own and then switch to your partner. If your fleet partner creates an account for you, you do not need to follow these steps and only approach to him.
Fill in all information needed. If you get the error message "Something went wrong. Please try again later", please use another email address.
Upload all documents needed. Check which documents you need on this site. Please upload only documents needed for drivers. It may take up to 8 hours for the documents to be approved.
Switch to your new fleet partner. Find instructions above.
How to get help
As a driver you have 3 options to contact uber. Please always ask your partner first, in most cases he has the answer for you. Please click ">" in the bottom right corner to see all options.
In your Uber driver app
Open "help" in the menu of your Uber driver app (top left corner). You will find lots of articles for several questions you may have.
Make an appointment
The GLH might be closed, please ask your fleet partner for more info.
