Uber Taxi now comes with the Reserve feature, making travel in Taiwan more convenient than ever. You can enjoy flexible payment options including cash and e-payment methods. Whether you’re catching a flight or traveling to another district, reserve your Uber Taxi ride at least 30 minutes in advance for a more stress-free experience.
As part of the trip reservation feature, drivers are required to go online 30 minutes prior to the start of the reserved trip. Therefore, when using this feature, an additional reservation fee will be charged upon completion of the trip and paid to the driver providing the service. The exact amount of the reservation fee will vary based on the date, time, and location of your reservation, as detailed in the table below:

Please note: Cancellations made at least one hour prior to the scheduled start time of a reserved Uber ride will not incur any charges.
If the cancellation occurs within one hour of the scheduled start time, a cancellation fee will be applied. The fee amount varies by ride option: NT$150 for Uber Taxi.
How to reserve a ride?
On the app homepage, tap Reserve or the calendar icon next to Later to enter the booking page. Follow the on-screen instructions to select the time and trip details.
Once the details are filled in and confirmed, you can check the available ride options and choose the one that suits your needs.
To cancel the Reserve trip, tap the Activity tab at the bottom of your Uber app homescreen. Check your recent bookings and trip details, then select your pre-booked trip and tap Cancel.

- The information is provided in collaboration with the partner fleets that utilize the Uber system.
- All trips can only be reserved through the Uber App and will be dispatched by a partner fleet using the Uber system.
- You can cancel for free at any time prior to receiving your driver details. If you’ve received your driver details and you cancel less than 60 minutes before your ride, you’ll be charged a cancellation fee of NT$150 for Uber Taxi.
- Only one promo code can be used for each Uber trip. If you have entered multiple promo codes into the Uber App and these are all applicable for the trip, the valid promo code with the highest value will be applied first.
- The estimated trip fare is for reference only. If you request a change to the destination after your ride has started and it significantly affects the travel distance, or if there is a heavy traffic jam which substantially delays the travel time, the trip fare may be updated according to the actual situation.
- Any and all questions related to the trip shall be reported to Uber via the Uber App.
- Uber has the sole right to modify these T&C and vary or terminate this promotion at any time without prior notification to the Uber App user. In case of any disputes regarding this promotion, Uber reserves the right of final decision.
- If there are any discrepancies between the Chinese and English version of these T&Cs, the English version shall prevail.
- In cases where you use Uber Reserve, a separate reservation fee will apply. During non-peak hours, the reservation fee for Uber Taxi is NT$100 in Hsinchu and NT$80 in non-Hsinchu cities. During peak hours, the reservation fee is NT$150.
