Uploading your documents
To drive using the Driver app in South Africa, you are required to upload certain documents to get your account set up. Refer to the information below when uploading each document.

Uber Go, Electric and Mini
- SA Driving license with a valid PrDP
- You must be at least 21 years old.
- Criminal Background Check (available at ANY PostNet)
- Profile photo
Uber Comfort, XL and Van
- SA Driving license with a valid PrDP
- You must be at least 21 years old.
- Criminal Background Check (available at ANY PostNet)
- Driving evaluation (ONLY CPT, JHB and DBN)
- Profile photo
Vehicle documents
Uber Go, Go Electric and Mini
Single Vehicle Licence Disk
- For Uber Mini, you can submit a photo of the double disc that is on the vehicle windscreen
Virtual vehicle inspection report (Auto Inspect)
Third Party Liability Insurance
Uber Comfort, XL and Van
- Operating Card (Double Disk)
- Comprehensive Vehicle inspection report (Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town and Durban)
- Comprehensive vehicle insurance cover

Make sure all required details are clearly visible
Ensure your document contains all required details before uploading. The entire document should be clearly visible.
Upload your driver's licence first
This will speed up the approval process when we need to cross-check your licence with other documents.

Original documents only
We do not accept photocopied documents, so please make sure you only upload original documents.
