You have three options to choose from, depending on the type of collaboration you prefer. Each of them will allow you to quickly and conveniently obtain a license and then collaborate with Uber without any issues.

These are the steps you need to complete to start driving with Uber.
1. Sign up online or on the Uber Driver app
Provide your phone number and email address. You will receive messages regarding the registration process steps on the platform.
2. Prepare and submit required documents
You can find the extended list of required documents below.
3. Find a fleet partner
4. Adjust the car to the taxi requirements
5. Complete driver in-person verification
Book an appointment via the app or website and go to the verification office with physical documents: ID, driver's license, and a certificate of no criminal record (issued no more than 30 days before the verification appointment).
6. Complete your first trip.
Independent driver
These are the steps you need to complete to start driving with Uber
1. Sign up online or on the Uber Driver app

2. Get license
Submit an application and pick up your taxi license, license excerpt, taxi driver ID, and hologram (if applicable) at the city office.
3. Prepare and submit required documents

4. Complete the banking and invoicing information
You can add the information on your portal at supplier.uber.com.
5. Install E-cash register
Use the guide and complete the e-cash connection process.
6. Arrange a vehicle
You have a few options :
- Buy a vehicle
- Lease a vehicle
- Rent a vehicle
7. Adjust the car to the taxi requirements

Documents required
Driving license
Driving license confirming qualification for cat. B for at least 1 year (as of June 17, 2024, we will only accept Polish driving licenses).
Identity card
ID document/passport/residence permit (with the note ‘Access to the labour market’)
Minimum age is 18 years old.
Background check
For the personal verification process, we accept a certificate issued no more than 30 days before the verification appointment.
Profile picture
The driver must be looking straight ahead and be in the center of the frame, not wearing sunglasses, and their face and upper shoulders must be visible. It cannot be a photo from a driver's license or any other printed photo.
Medical & psychological check
The documents that confirm you currently have medical and psychological checks.
Taxi ID
A document confirming that you can perform rides as a taxi driver.
Taxi license
Document required for providing taxi services within domestic road transport.
KRS/CEIDG
Extract from the relevant register confirming the conducted business activity.
Personal ID of a board member
ID card of the individual listed in the National Court Register (KRS) as authorized to represent the board.
If it's a sole proprietorship - ID card of the individual listed as the owner of the company.
Personal ID for each person who owns 25% or more of the company
ID card of any person who has more than 25% of the shares in the KRS.
If it's a sole proprietorship - ID card of the individual listed as the owner of the company.
Bank statement
Bank statement or confirmation of the transaction (document not older than 3 months from the date the document was added)
The document should be in pdf format and contain the following information:
- Company name
- Company address
- Bank logo
- IBAN account number
Vehicle registration certificate
Liability insurance
Vehicle excerpt from the taxi license
Photo of the car with the visible registration number, city marking, and TAXI lamp
FAQ
- Is the car signage permanent and required?
The taxi lamp is easy to uninstall and doesn’t damage the car in any way. Signage is controlled by local requirements. More detailed information will be available in Uber Licensing Centers.
- I lease a car - is this gonna be an obstacle in the licensing process?
No, drivers leasing their cars can obtain a taxi license after adapting the car to the regulations.
- Do I need permission from my leaser?
Yes - to get your taxi license, you need to adapt your car to the new regulations. You need to get through technical inspection and obtain a taxi stamp in your registration documents. Getting the stamp will probably require action from your leaser.
- What about the costs rising after the new regulations - for example, the insurance costs?
We are negotiating with insurance companies and lessors to get Uber drivers and partners the best possible offers.
- When should I get through the licensing process?
The licensing process should be completed as soon as possible, considering the rising amount of drivers interested in licensing and the limited processing capability of local offices.
- Do the new rules apply to me if I have a car with up to 7 seats including the driver?
Yes, according to the new laws every driver driving a car with up to 7 seats is required to hold a taxi license.
- How can I start a business?
