How to upload documents to your driver account in Norway

Please upload an image of your valid driver’s license in the field “Førerkort (forside)”. Please note that we do not accept digital copies of the driver's license.

Ensure that the full document is visible and that it is not blurry. Please make sure the following information is clearly visible on the document:

• Full name
• Date of birth
• Expiration date

Please upload a photo of yourself in the field “Profilbilde”.

Please note that the photo:

• Must be a forward-facing, centered photo including the driver’s full face and top of shoulders, with no sunglasses
• Must be a photo only of the driver with no other subject in the frame, well-lit, and in focus. It cannot be a driver’s license photo or other printed photograph

Please upload an image or pdf of your certificate of incorporation (see instructions below) in the field “Firmaattest".

When uploading the document, ensure that the full document is visible and that it is not blurry. Please make sure the following information is clearly visible on the document:

• Name of owner/Company name
• Company number
• Company address
• Board members and owners (not necessary for a sole proprietor)

For businesses (AS, ANS/DA, SA)

If you have an incorporated business (AS, ANS/DA, SA), you need to upload the document “Firmaattest” from Altinn. Please see this example.

How to obtain “Firmaattest”:

1) Go to Altinn’s website by clicking here

2) Press "Start service" to download your “Firmattest”.

For sole proprietors (Enkeltmannsforetak)

If you are a sole proprietor (Enkeltmannsforetak), you need to upload the document “Registerutskrift” from Altinn. Please see this example.

How to obtain “Registerutskrift”:

1) Go to Altinn's website by clicking here

2) Press "Start service" to download your “Registerutskrift”.

Please upload an image of a photo ID for every individual that owns 25% or more of your business in the fields “ID (f.eks pass eller førerkort) på alle som eier 25% eller mer av virksomheten din". Note: If your business has multiple owners, you need to upload multiple IDs.

When uploading the document, ensure that the full document is visible and that it is not blurry. Please make sure the following information is clearly visible on the document:

• Full name
• Date of birth
• ID number

Please upload an image of a photo ID for a Board Member of your business in the field “ID (f.eks pass eller førerkort) til et av styrets medlemmer”.

Note: The name of this person should be listed among board members on the Certificate of Incorporation (Firmaattest).

• Full name
• Date of birth
• ID number

• Name of the owner/company name
• Vehicle identification number
• Make and model of the vehicle
• Register date under "Registrert for første gang"

Note: Make sure your name registered in our system matches with the information on the car registration.

Please note that the photo:

• Must show a vehicle that meets all current Uber vehicle requirements. You find the latest requirements here.
• Must clearly show the license plate
• Must be an actual photo, and not a stock photo (e.g. from the web)
• Must be free from any taxi logo or any commercial ads.

Please upload an actual photo of your vehicle that is registered for taxi use in the field “Bilde av kjøretøy på siden (høyre eller venstre)”.

Please note that the photo:

• Must show a vehicle that meets all current Uber vehicle requirements. You find the latest requirements here.
• Must show one side of the vehicle
• Must be an actual photo, and not a stock photo (e.g. from the web)
• Must be free from any taxi logo or any commercial ads.
• Vehicles must be marked with the license number. This must be on both sides of the vehicle (outside) at the side doors and must be in a contrasting color of the vehicle. Minimum size 100 mm. Please note: Vehicles with a selskapsvognløyve are exempted from the license number marking requirement until Nov 1, 2022

Please upload a picture or pdf of your professional vehicle insurance in the field “Bilforsikring".

If you are taking a photo of your document, please ensure that the whole document is visible and that it is not blurry. Please make sure the following information is clearly visible on the document:

• Insurance provider
• Licence Plate
• Expiration date
• Where possible proof of professional insurance cover, e.g. "Næringsbil" , " Persontransport" , "Taxi", "Drosje"

Furthermore, we acknowledge that different insurance providers can vary considerably in their policy documents, therefore where a professional insurance type is not explicitly stated we are now conducting value checks on individual policies to infer professional insurance.

If you rent or lend a vehicle that is not registered in your name, we need a power of attorney from the vehicle owner. Upload a photo or pdf of a valid vehicle registration form together with a power of attorney in the field "Vognkort og fullmakt ved leie av bil”.

• Who gives and gets the power of attorney, including company names and company registration numbers
• Make, model, and license plate details of the vehicle
• Copy of ID and signature from the vehicle owner
