Go the first & last mile with Uber and GVB
Uber Editor

At Uber, we share many of the same goals as the 600 cities we serve, and are committed to addressing the same challenges: reducing individual car ownership, expanding transportation access and helping governments adapt to changing mobility needs.

We are excited to announce our participation in the mobility budget pilot of the City of Amsterdam. As part of this pilot, Uber has engaged to provide door-to-door, on-demand mobility.

Great news: you are one of the participants of this mobility pilot!

What is the plan?
Using the information provided by GVB, we have identified eight regions that are difficult to reach by public transport. Starting today, you can request a ride from/to one of these areas, from/to the corresponding major transit points, for a flat fare of €3. This flat fare is available throughout the day. This service will allow you to easily navigate the first and last mile that separates them from the nearest public transit station.

How to unlock the first/last mile fare?

You will see a special option appear in the Uber app, whenever they are requesting an applicable ride. You will only see this special ‘GVB’ option when you are near to one of the selected public transport hubs Check the map for the participating hubs and the corresponding area for which the €3 fare is active.
