It’s LGBTQIA+ Pride week in Amsterdam from 25th of July until 2nd of August.
Worldwide, the LGBTQIA+ community has been struggling for decades. Since the first Gay Parade, more and more people go to the streets to fight for their rights. Over the years there have been many challenges for this community which keep coming up today.
Pride, even from home
Nothing should stop the LGBTQIA+ community in spreading the message behind the Pride week, not even COVID-19. We all have the right to show who we are no matter which skin color, race, sexual orientation and gender identity. We encourage everyone to feel proud of who they are and what they stand for. Even from home. Pride matters, en wij willen de community hierbij ondersteunen.

COVID-19 brings challenges to all of us and unfortunately it also brings additional challenges to the LGBTQIA+ community during the celebration of Pride week 2020. Pride matters, and we will help move what matters to this community.
TransAmsterdam
To support the LGBTQIA+ community in Amsterdam, we partnered with TransAmsterdam to support their organisation and events with free trips via Uber and meals via Uber Eats.
We support TransAmsterdam for example during Trans Flag Day, an event in Oosterpark on 21st of August.

In-app Rainbow routes
Just like previous years, Uber routes will turn to rainbow colors in the Uber app during Pride week.
