WE’RE COLLECTING BOOKS AT THE TAP OF A BUTTON


Along with our friends at LiveKC, we’ve partnered up with Turn the Page KC to collect books for local children throughout the greater Kansas City area.

GET INVOLVED:

  1. Rally your friends, family, and coworkers and begin collecting books today!
  2. Toggle to UberBOOKS in your app from 11am to 2pm on Thursday, 10/22/15.
  3. Tap ‘REQUEST BOOK PICKUP’ and we’ll be there in minutes to collect your books for donation.

PRO TIPS:

  • There is no minimum or maximum number of books that you can donate.
  • Forward this post to friends and get your entire office involved for the greatest impact.
  • Turn the Page will accept books for all reading levels, though the primary need is books for grade levels K-3.
  • Please ensure that books are in good condition, and that they are appropriate for K-3 grade levels – no magazines, textbooks, encyclopedia sets, or coloring books please.

ABOUT TURN THE PAGE KC:

The mission of Turn the Page KC is to mobilize the community to achieve reading proficiency at grade level or above for all third graders in Kansas City, Missouri. Turn the Page KC was founded by Mayor Sly James in 2011 as an initiative to raise the reading proficiency of third graders, which at the time as only 33%. Volunteer and community organizations began to rally around this mission. In 2015, test scores showed that 3rd grade reading proficiency in Kansas City is now at 49% and appear to be on the rise.
