Nearly 300,000 people drive drunk every single day and every 28 minutes, somebody is killed by a drunk driver. But with safe and reliable options like Uber, it doesn’t have to be this way. A report conducted by Uber and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) reveals that when people have access to additional transportation options like Uber, they are driven to make better choices and not get behind the wheel while intoxicated.

We are proud to partner with MADD in Rhode Island to help keep our streets and communities safe.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

  1. Leave your car at home!
  2. Enter the code MADDRI15 before you ride in the promotions section of your app.
  3. Uber will donate $1 to MADD when you ride between noon 11/9 and noon 11/15.

“MADD is proud to partner with Uber to raise awareness around the dangers of driving while drunk. Over the last two years, Uber has been helping make Rhode Island streets safe by ensuring residents and visitors have more safe and reliable transportation options. We look forward to the work MADD and Uber Rhode Island can continue to do to encourage riders to seek alternatives to drinking and driving.”
