NYC, Meet Mouhamed—Our Sixth Star Award Winner

While all of our partners help riders get from point A to point B, some still go above and beyond in the service they provide. Each week, together with American Express, we award one of these partners through our Sixth Star Award program.
Today, we are excited to honor our NYC partner, Mouhamed, with a Sixth Star Award. To thank him for his superlative service in New York City, Mouhamed will receive an Uber gift package including a $1000 American Express gift card.

In selecting Sixth Star Award winners, we look for “above-and-beyond” feedback from riders and a track record of excellence on the Uber system. Below is one NYC rider’s account of her experience with Mouhamed:
“As my 18-month old baby and I were sitting in this parked uberFamily/car seat SUV with our driver Mouhamed, a pick-up truck hit us. It turned out to be a three car accident and NYPD and FDNY were immediately on the scene. It was in no way Mouhamed’s fault, as we were parked and stationary, waiting for my husband to join us. A 5-star rating system is in no way sufficient to express how exemplary Mouhamed was in this case. He was clearly shaken, as was I, and his first and only concern was for the condition of my child. He treated us like his own family, and I insisted the paramedics check him. Even when I called him later that night to check on him and his vehicle, he kept asking me how the baby was. I would highly recommend that Uber management recognize and reward him in some way for his attitude and care.” – Ina, New York
