Imagine buying an airline ticket without knowing the full fare until the end of your trip. Yes, that sounds odd—but it’s what happens with many Uber trips today. We moved to upfront, per trip fares—just like airlines and hotels—two years ago when we launched uberPOOL. Knowing how much a ride will cost in advance is clearly something riders appreciate: today uberPOOL accounts for over 20 percent of all rides globally. And we now want more riders globally to benefit from this feature.

UberEATS is proud to join the third annual EAT (RED) SAVE LIVES campaign this June–to raise money and fight AIDS through food. This year, UberEATS is teaming up with Sprinkles Cupcakes to join the hundreds of chefs, restaurants, and bars supporting (RED).

Last year, we launched UberUP — our Urban Partnership with the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC) — which helps us reach out to Marylanders left behind in the economic recovery. UberUP aims to share the flexible economic opportunities and entrepreneurship that Uber’s technology provides.
