Where it is: Smack dab in the middle of Dallas. A little escape from the big city bustle
What you’ll like: Taking the kayak rentals for a spin on the water

Where it is: Just north of DFW airport, you’ll find an outdoor getaway without ever leaving town
What you’ll like: Designated swimming areas, complete with covered picnic areas for your snack break
