Fueling Startups with the Stamford Innovation Center
Written byStamford has become a hotspot for innovation in recent years, and we’re excited to play a part in that growth through our partnership with the Stamford Innovation Center, the organization behind many of Connecticut’s forward-thinking startups, such as Arccos Golf and Applango.
“As the largest incubator between Boston and NYC, we get approached by potential partners all the time,” says Stamford Innovation Center CMO Peter Propp. “Uber has been one of the most ‘can-do’ partners in terms of making things happen in the Stamford region. Their support for our Northeast Hackathon Series and Stamford Technology Week has been outstanding, and we look forward to continued success together.”
From September 14–18, the Center is hosting Stamford Tech Week, a series of events on topics including how cities can better leverage data, economic competitiveness, cybersecurity, women in entrepreneurship, and JavaScript.
For the second year in a row, we’ll also be sponsoring the 2-day Hackathon in which teams of software engineers, developers, and designers will tackle 3 city-focused challenges (2 involving virtual/augmented reality and another utilizing open data sources and APIs—including Uber’s!).
