Sujit has served the borders from 2002 – 2012 across states of Jammu and Kashmir, West Bengal and Punjab. His son studies in one of the most reputed schools in Kolkata and he dreams to see his son as an Army General.

Having served 20 years in the Armed Forces and another 20 years in the Punjab Police, Uttam now finds himself doing what he loves the most – driving. The love for the wheels got this 61 year old to Uber and he thanks his friend who introduced him to Uber for turning his life around. From relying on a meagre pension of seven thousand a month he now makes that kind of money in a few days. He says the sense of security that Uber has offered him and his family, he shall forever be grateful.

Karthikeyan, our partner in Uber Coimbatore served the Indian Army in the harsh region of Kupwara, J & K. Despite several trials over many years after his return, he just wasn’t able to strike the right chord and settle into a satisfactory routine with less financial anxiety. He heard about Uber long before we launched in Coimbatore and joined us without a second thought. Today, Karthikeyan is independent and more importantly has complete control over his own life. He can focus on his work and spend quality time with his family without stressing over what the future holds.

Arun spent 26 years of his life in the military. Post retirement he tried to work for a corporate job but did not get the satisfaction and a sense of ownership. Starting with a small car, today, Arun drives his own Innova with Uber and has been able to give quality education to his children. One of his sons is a BMS doctor, other a CA final student and his daughter, an Assistant Engineer with the electricity board.
