The Gandhi Ashram (or Sabarmati Ashram) was one of Gandhiji’s main residences in which he spent 12 years of his life along with his wife Kasturba. The Ashram is a site of great historical significance for being a focal point of the Indian Independence Movement.
The Ashram has many interesting galleries and activities for all ages. Our favourite being the “My Life is My Message” which portrays in vivid detail the important stages and events in the Mahatma’s life.
Gandhi Ashram is open everyday from 8:30 AM – 7:30 PM.
