Post Trip Payment: Now a Better Experience
At Uber we know getting you a ride when you want one is important and part of the reason why riders like you choose Uber to get around your city everyday. Imagine a situation where you’re stuck in the rains, or heading home after a late night out, or have limited data and your Uber screen asks you to clear your past payments before requesting your next ride. Frustrating right? Which is why we’re excited to roll out a new feature that allows you to skip out on bad experiences like these – and helps get you moving as soon as you’re ready to leave.
Currently, when your account is in arrears due to low balance on your digital payment methods, or dysfunctional credit or debit cards – you’ll be asked to clear your payments either at the end of this trip or before you request for your next ride. To add to this experience, we have enabled a new option that lets you pay for your arrears using cash on your next trip.
The new flow will now ensure your arrears screen has an option of paying for your trip with cash on your next trip. At the end of your next trip, you will then have to pay your driver the cash amount of your previous trip + your current trip. Simple?
