Shared rides. Shared moments.

We launched uberPOOL in Delhi about two months ago. The idea was simple: users share a ride — and the cost — with other people who request a ride along a similar route. Since then, hundreds of thousands of Delhiites have shared their rides, saved money, helped cut down emissions, but more importantly, shared moments on the go.

When you request for an uberPOOL ride, we match you with a rider heading in the same direction — realtime. The magic happens when you get matched with a long lost friend, a recruiter (yes, this happened) or a colleague who you’d never met in office.

People share their uberPOOL moments with us all the time, through emails, Twitter and Instagram. While some share their love for savings:

I just saved ₹ 84.40 by riding uberPOOL in New Delhi. Ride uberPOOL — share your ride, split the cost.

Some just like meeting new people:

Tried uberPOOL today. Met a colleague who I’d never met in office. #networking #uberpool @Uber_Delhi

Uber Pool is pretty cool. Made a new friend. Loving how #Delhi is embracing #OddEvenFormula with optimism. @Uber_Delhi. #DelhiOddEven

Some find the experience interesting:

and our favourite, when some are just left awed after getting matched with a fellow commuter:

@Uber_Delhi just dropped off Jaspreet to GK. First ever Uber Pool Drive! pic.twitter.com/prjW1JvXOQ

There’s more to uberPOOL than just savings, you’re helping your city, you’re sharing your ride, and you’re sharing moments. Get ‘pooling, Delhi.
