Bangalore reinforces its position as a visionary IT hub

We applaud P. Ravi Kumar, Principal Secretary, Transport Department, Government of Karnataka, for sharing his pragmatic vision for the future of transportation today. Secretary Kumar has sent an important message to Bangalore and in fact, the entire country, that embracing innovation, supporting consumer choice and ensuring the safety of riders should be a top priority for governments in every city. We couldn’t agree more. He has shown great leadership by starting a meaningful dialogue to pave the way for a new era of safer transportation, while reinforcing Bangalore’s position as the progressive, technology-friendly Silicon Valley of India.

We look forward to this new framework of regulation in Karnataka that accommodates technological innovation with a common goal – safe, reliable and convenient options for riders to get around their city while fostering micro-entrepreneurship amongst the driver community.
