I am Prabhjeet, General Manager of Uber Delhi and I am writing to you about the current situation all of us are battling in Delhi NCR.

In the last few days, we have seen the worst spell of smog along with alarming levels of pollution in the city – this calls for our immediate action as responsible citizens of Delhi NCR.

Uber is committed to being part of the solution for our city. I’d like to personally appeal to you to take a step forward towards changing the way we live and specifically, the way we commute, by using uberPOOL.

POOL is the answer to transportation needs as 4 people in a car are better than 1 person in the same car travelling in the same direction. This reduces the number of cars on the road which has a direct positive impact on the environment around us.

In Delhi NCR itself, since its launch, over 30% of all Uber trips were on POOL which has saved more than 12 million kilometres being driven on the roads and that’s equal to 31 trips to the moon.

I urge you to Switch to POOL and make use of advanced technology to re-imagine our city- one without traffic congestion and with reduced pollution levels.
