Pickup at Vancouver International Airport (YVR)

Head to the pickup location

  • International Pickups: Head to the Arrivals level and follow signs to the Ground Transportation area. Exit the terminal and cross the street to the Ride-App Pickup zone on the outer curb.
  • Domestic Pickups: Head to the Arrivals level and follow signs for the Ground Transportation pickup area. Exit the terminal and meet your driver in the Ride-App Pickup zone between stalls 8 and 14.
  • South Terminal Pickups: Exit the terminal and cross the pedestrian crosswalk to meet your driver in the Ride-App Pickup zone on the outer curb.

Request when you're ready to walk outside

Choose a ride option that suits your group size and luggage storage needs. When prompted by the app, select your pickup location and follow signs in the airport to Ground Transportation and Ride App Pick-up.

Go to your assigned pickup location as specified by the app (please note: this location may not always be at your nearest exit). If you can’t find your driver, contact them through the app.

  • Pickup locations may depend on the type of ride you request and the size of the airport. Follow the instructions in the app about where to meet your driver. You can also look for signs that point to designated airport rideshare zones.

    If you can’t find your driver, contact them through the app.

  • Your driver will be informed of any schedule changes to your flight. For UberX, Uber Comfort, and UberXL rides, meet your driver up to 45 minutes after your flight's arrival before late fees apply.   • The cost of an Uber trip from YVR Airport depends on factors that include the type of ride you request, the estimated length and duration of the trip, tolls, and current demand for rides.

    You can see an estimate of the price before you request by going here and entering your pickup spot and destination. Then when you request a ride, you’ll see your actual price in the app based on real-time factors.

  • The luggage capacity varies by Uber ride type. For example, an UberX ride can usually hold 2 suitcases while an UberXL ride can usually hold 3 suitcases.*

  • You can cancel at no charge up to 60 minutes before your reservation pickup time. If you cancel after that, you’ll be charged a cancellation fee if a driver has already been confirmed. In order to cancel, go to your rides in the Activity section of the Uber app.

*Luggage space is not guaranteed and depends on the number of passengers in your ride and the type of vehicle. Once you’re matched with a driver, we recommend contacting them through the app to confirm.
