Since launching ten years ago, Uber Eats has delivered over a billion dishes across the UK. The Hottest Bites is the definitive snapshot of the dishes, restaurants and flavours shaping how Britain eats right now.
This year’s Hottest Bites span more than 25 cuisine types, bringing together high-street favourites, big-name brands and fast-growing independents. From comfort classics to bold global flavours, the list highlights the sheer range and diversity of food that Brits are loving on delivery.
The 2026 list builds on momentum from last year, when Uber Eats highlighted breakout dishes such as Pad Thai from Rosa’s Thai and modern takes on the classic fried chicken, which came to define 2025’s fastest-growing food trends. This year, the spotlight widens further. Enduring favourites like Greggs’ Sausage Roll stand out on the list alongside newer staples, including Matcha Lattes, which saw a 700% rise in popularity on Uber Eats last year. In 2026, customers are also set to fall in love with dishes rising in popularity, such as Mowgli’s Mother Butter Chicken, Roti King’s Char Kuey Teow, Poor Boys New Orleans-inspired Mac Boy, and a rising wave of globally influenced comfort food.
These global influences are reflected in Uber Eats order data showing demand for Greek food grew 26% last year, Lebanese food by 50%, and Pakistani food by 47%. Search data on the Uber Eats app also shows Brits are searching for international flavours, with Nigerian, Jamaican and Thai cuisines growing in popularity, each with over 100% increases in searches. Despite our adventurous taste buds, Brits do remain creatures of habit too, with steak, vanilla ice cream and jacket potatoes surging in popularity year-on-year.
To capture this moment, Uber Eats has unveiled its Hottest Bites for 2026, a curated list celebrating the dishes shaping how Britain eats right now. Hottest Bites brings together a mix of local independent restaurants with devoted followings and well-known national brands, reflecting the breadth of choice available on the app.

Merve Basci, General Manager, Uber Eats UK, said: “In my first few weeks leading the Uber Eats UK, one thing is already very clear. Britain’s food culture is incredibly broad and full of amazing quality. From family-run restaurants to national brands, Uber Eats is helping great food reach a wide range of customers and acting as a real growth accelerator for our partners. People are mixing trusted favourites with new discoveries, and delivery is playing an increasingly important role in how food trends emerge and spread across the country.”
Since launching in the UK in 2016, Uber Eats has helped change how people order food, working with tens of thousands of restaurant partners nationwide. This enables customers to access a wider range of food than ever before, while helping restaurants use delivery as a powerful way to reach 90 percent of the UK population and grow their businesses. Since Uber One launched in 2022, the membership programme has grown to millions of customers in the UK, driving increased engagement and repeat ordering as members benefit from perks such as free delivery on eligible orders.
