New tools designed to help you minimize downtime and maximize your earnings. We’re piloting Planner and new offline heatmap with zones in these US cities: Corpus Christi, Amarillo.
Starting October 13, couriers with Green and Gold Uber Eats Pro status can:
- Use Planner1 to reserve times in advance and get guaranteed access to go online during those slots.
- Use the offline zones heatmap outside of reserved times to find open delivery zones with the highest demand.
Platinum and Diamond couriers can go online anytime, anywhere.
Minimize downtime by planning ahead with Planner
Planner lets you reserve when and where to go online, ahead of time
- Gold couriers: can reserve time slots for the following week every Thursday morning
- Green couriers: get access every Friday morning to reserve time slots for the following week.
To use Planner:
- Open the menu in your Driver app.
- Select the day, delivery zone(s), and time slot(s) you’d like to book.
- Tap once to select, again to unselect.
On your booked day, you can go online in your reserved delivery zone to start earning.
Go online in busy zones without a reservation
- If you want to go online outside of your booked times, you can use the offline zones heatmap to see open delivery zones that have high demand.
- Zones are colored red, orange, or yellow based on real-time demand, with higher-demand zones giving you a better chance to go online without a reservation.
- Once online, you can use the online delivery heatmap to see the busiest areas within the delivery zone.
Platinum and Diamond couriers can go online anywhere, including zones that are colored Grey.

Frequently asked questions
How do I sign up for a time slot in Planner?
- Open the Uber Driver app and tap the menu to access Planner.
- Select the date and delivery zone where you want to go online. Zones are listed across the top — scroll right to view all those available in your area.
- Tap to select a time, and tap again to remove it if needed. Select “Done” to confirm your selections.
- You can schedule multiple time slots across different zones.
Be within your reserved delivery zone at the booked time to go online.
Can I accept deliveries outside of my starting zone?
Yes. Your reserved zone is where you need to be if you wish to go online and start earning. Once online, you may get delivery requests that take you to other zones, and you can complete trips as usual.
How much time can I reserve?
You can book up to 70 hours per week, depending on availability.
What happens after my time ends?
If it’s busy enough, you can continue staying online even after your time ends.
What happens if I don’t show up during my reserved time?
We know sometimes things come up and you can’t make it in time to your reserved time. In case you are unable to show up for your reservation, you will not be penalized.
