For many driver-partners in Singapore, the flexibility to make money on their own terms is one of the key reasons they choose to drive with Uber. This is why we believe it is important to introduce new and improved ways to meaningfully enhance their earning power, so driver-partners continue to stay motivated while driving on the Uber network.

Over the last two months, we have introduced product enhancements to improve flexibility on the road, revamped our policies and the way we provide support. So far, we have received encouraging responses from driver-partners, but we are not stopping here.

In this month of the third and final pillar of our Driver Forward campaign, we introduce 5 earning enhancements that our driver community can look forward to:

Earnings Protection: NTUC Income Personal Accident Insurance Coverage

We believe driver-partners should have a low-cost option to protect themselves and their earnings against unforeseen accidents or illnesses that prevent them from driving — particularly relevant for self-employed persons. We are pleased to partner with Singapore’s trusted insurance entity, NTUC Income, to offer a tailored Personal Accident Plan exclusively for Uber driver-partners. At just 22 cents a day, they can receive access to a range of benefits and protections, so they can have ease of mind while being on the road.

Enjoy Your Earnings Faster: Earlier Payment

We are improving the payment cycle by bringing forward drivers’ payments up to 3 days earlier. They can expect to receive their earnings promptly every Monday for DBS account holders or Tuesday for UOB or other bank account holders of the following week, instead of the current cycle of every Thursday.

Earning opportunities: Additional Product Offerings

Driver-partners have the flexibility and freedom to drive on all other Uber products including uberASSIST, uberPET, and Uber Car Seat. By providing solutions like these, we believe we are effectively growing the demand of riders. This, in turn, increases the efficiency and earnings of driver-partners as they get to keep up to 90% of the fares on each trip through these vehicle options.

Earning opportunities: Car Decal Advertisements

Driver-partners who are keen to make the most out of their personal car or rented LCR vehicle can now be part of our car decal advertising programme. Every decal will give driver-partners the opportunity to earn up to $200 more monthly. This is the start of more earning opportunities to come.

Stretch Your Earnings Further: ESSO Fuel savings

Driver-partners can ease their expenses and save even more with our Esso Fuel Card. We are increasing our fuel rebate amount by an additional 3% so they can save up to 33% at any of Esso’s 60 fuel stations across Singapore.
