Over the last 12 months, we’ve spent a lot of time listening and engaging with our driver community in Singapore to understand what truly matters to them when they drive with Uber. With the rapid uptake of our technology that we have seen here over the last 4 year, it is our priority to continue building on our driver offerings so that we provide them with the best experience on the road.

With the feedback we received from driver-partners through roundtable sessions and ongoing engagements, we’re excited to launch our “Driver Forward” campaign that will focus on three key areas that matter to the driver community: Flexibility, Experience and Earnings.

This campaign includes a series of changes we will be making to our product features and initiatives. Starting today, these features are now available to 100% of Uber drivers-partners:

  • Arrival Time for Destinations: Driver-partners can now set their own personal arrival destination and time so that when accepting a trip, they can still get where they need to be even while dropping a rider off on the way – allowing for more flexibility to when they have time to use the Uber app and allows them to make a little extra money on the way.
  • Long trip notification: Drivers will now get a heads-up when a trip is estimated to be 30 minutes or longer, so they have the information they need to fit driving around their life, and not the other way around.
  • Cancellation timer: Drivers will now see an in-app timer that will help you keep track of the time you’ve spent waiting for your ride before the start of the trip. If a rider cancels more than 5 minutes after you accept the trip, the timer will indicate that you are eligible for the cancellation fee.
  • Simplified incentives: With the feedback from our driver-partners, we’ve removed trip requirements for incentive qualifications. Now, they can maximise your incentive earnings worry-free and enjoy more flexibility in their driving hour.

But this is only the start. We are excited about what’s to come for Driver Forward and will continue to provide additional updates as we roll out the rest of this program.
