More than 4 million people have fled the invasion of Ukraine. For people fleeing the war and seeking shelter in the EU, the European Commission has published a new website with useful official information in English, Ukrainian and Russian. This website gives practical information on rights in the EU, temporary protection and asylum and onward travel inside the EU. Some mobility providers in 24 EU countries, including Uber, are offering free travel for people fleeing the war, and the website lists all providers doing so. This is useful information for refugees looking for transit options free of charge, and any support to spread the message will be useful.
