• What are the available ride options?

  All options available for rides in Colombo will also be available in Gampaha. These include UberTUK, ZIP, GO, Premier and HIRE

• How will I be charged for trips?

  Just enter the destination you want to head out to, and the app will indicate the upfront fare. Time and distance of the trip, as well as supply and demand situation will determine the estimated fare at the time of requesting.

• If I am traveling from Colombo to Gampaha, how will it work?

  Colombo and Gampaha work as a single service area, and you can request trips between the two cities. Just fire up your Uber app, enter the destination of your choice in either Colombo or Gampaha and request. 

• What if I am traveling from Gampaha to cities like Kandy or Galle?

  You will be able to travel to any locations outside of Colombo or Gampaha using the Intercity ride options in the Uber app. Once you provide a destination, you’ll see several options of Uber Intercity in the app. Choose the option most relevant to you.

• Are there any other areas covered in the expansion?

  Yes, we’ve expanded the service area towards Wennappuwa and Wadduwa
