During the last week, Uber brought UberPITCH to 37 cities across Europe, including Berlin and Munich. In Germany we connected entrepreneurs with investors from HV Holtzbrinck Ventures, celebrating innovation and BIG Ideas. xbird is a Berlin-based mobile centric healthcare startup, developing an artificial-intelligence based algorithm, that uses passive smartphone data for early recognition of diseases. The technology is optimized for detection of symptoms and behavioral patterns in diabetes and mental health.

UberPITCH FINALS IN BERLIN
Almost 4.000 ideas were submitted from people in 37 cities in 21 countries in the first week. And by connecting entrepreneurs from across Europe with local investors through our app, we’ve helped take the elevator pitch to the next level.
The top four joined us in Berlin to spend more time with venture capital firms and attend a series of major entrepreneur conferences and incubator mashups. They also got to jam on their business strategy with Uber CEO, Travis Kalanick.
