Edmonton, the new UberEATS app is here! As of 10am today, you’ll be able to access the menus of over 40 local restaurants, and have your favourite meals delivered right to your door.

And who better to kick things off than Edmonton favourite, and one of our featured restaurants, El Cortez Mexican Kitchen and Tequila Bar! Whipping up one of the first meals on the UberEATS platform was their award-winning Executive Chef Lindsay Porter, serving up some of her famous bulgogi steak tacos:

Just off historic Whyte Avenue, El Cortez Mexican Kitchen is truly a unique venue born out of the minds of artists. Much thought went into every detail of atmosphere in the location, including lighting, imagery, music, and décor to create another world at the foot of Whyte Ave: movie lighting designers were brought in to engineer the lighting to ensure that all photos taken would reflect patrons favourably; both local and international artists were brought in to put their mark on the walls; furniture items were painstakingly chosen and shipped from Mexico to ensure an authentic feel.

About Chef Lindsay Porter

Born and raised in St Albert, award-winning Executive Chef Lindsay Porter’s focus has always been on the culinary world, even as a child. This passion for the culinary arts reflects through her menu at El Cortez Mexican Kitchen + Tequila Bar. Chef Porter represented Canada in the World Food Championships in Florida in the pasta category this past fall and will be competing again in the Canadian Food Championships this summer. She is also a bronze medalist at the prestigious Gold Medal Plates.
