In Canada, an estimated 25,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in 20151.  To support this important cause, we’re encouraging our community of female driver-partners in Ontario to drive on Friday, October 23rd to help make an impact. We’ll be donating $1 from every female driver-partner trip that’s completed this Friday to the Breast Cancer Society of Canada in support of their Dress for the Cause event.

Not only do we want to raise breast cancer awareness, we have a vision for gender equality and the empowerment of women across the country. We have made a commitment globally to create 1 Million earning opportunities for women by 2020. In Canada, there are already thousands of women taking advantage of the flexible earning opportunity that driving on the Uber platform provides.

From stay-at-home moms to graduate students, women of all backgrounds are signing up to drive. For many women, Uber is a flexible opportunity that not only gives them control over their schedules and supplements their income, but helps them pursue their passions.
