All drivers must pass an annual background screening to drive with Uber in Canada. These screenings help ensure the safety of everyone using Uber. Visit your Greenlight Hub to get started.
How it works
All Uber partners in Canada must complete a background screening. The screening will review your driving record for the past three years as well as your criminal history. The background screenings are free to complete and need to be renewed annually.
To get started, visit your nearest Uber Greenlight Hub—we’ve got locations across Ontario. Be sure to bring your Driver’s Licence and 1 other piece of ID with you. We’re happy to answer any questions you may have.
All background screenings are provided by Checkr Inc., a leading background-check agency. Your screening results must meet the requirements of Uber and of local regulations. After about 3-5 business days, we’ll email you the outcome.
If you think you were disqualified in error, our email will explain how to follow up.
