Uber Arrives in Brussels with uberPOP!

The sound of the ‘POPPING’ of uberPOP in the French capital can still be heard – almost a month after launch. It was therefore impossible for us not to share that success with our friends in Brussels!

The launch of uberPOP is a first for Uber in the sense that Brussels is the first city in the world where we first launch a ridesharing network, before offering traditional professional chauffeur services.

Uber put its technology into the sharing economy of Brussels to help locals move around at the best possible price. With a minimum fare of €4, including the possibility to split the fare with your friends, we strive to offer the most secure, efficient and accessible transportation solution to the widest possible audience.

Thanks to uberPOP, the Uber application connects you in real time with a carefully selected driver driving you around Brussels.

Who are the drivers?

uberPOP drivers are independent individuals that we’ve personally vetted and selected. The driver has held a valid drivers license for at least 3 years. You might just get driven around Brussels by one of your friends!

How are the fares calculated?

The price of a ride is calculated based on the kilometers drivers and the duration of the ride: €0.35 per minute and €0.80 per km. The minimum fare for a ride is €4, which is also the cancellation fee. You can find a full overview of Uber fares on  uber.com/cities/brussels

How can I order uberPOP?

Open the Uber app, and once you’ve confirmed your location, it just takes two taps to order the nearest driver. In the app, you can see the driver moving towards you in real-time.
