Dom Taylor has been promoted to General Manager of Uber’s rides businesses across Australia and New Zealand.

As General Manager, ANZ, Dom’s priorities will include driver and rider loyalty through transformative programs such as Rewards (riders) and Pro (drivers), as well as maintaining Uber’s leading position as the most reliable and dependable rideshare across more cities and towns in Australia than ever before.

ANZ is one of Uber’s biggest global markets for rideshare with more than 3.8 million people using Uber on a regular basis across the region.

Dom has been with Uber since 2014 as a Driver Manager in our Sydney team. Most recently he was the head of Strategy and Operations. Prior to Uber, Dom worked in investment banking at Morgan Stanley and Macquarie Group and as a consultant for PWC. He has a Masters in Economic History from the University of Oxford as well as undergraduate degrees in Accounting from the University of Technology, Sydney and Commerce (Hons) in Finance from the University of Melbourne. His academic research has been focussed on the economics of the Indigenous Art market.

During his time, he has successfully helped to grow the rides offering by ensuring full regulatory compliance and launching innovative products like Pool in major cities across Australia.

“I’m honoured and excited about this new role,” said Dom Taylor.

“I look forward to continuing our positive work with governments, our partners and the transport community to improve how we move around our cities. Most of all I’m looking forward to serving the riders and drivers who rely on Uber every day,”

“The next 12 months will see us continue to evolve the Uber product to help more Aussies and Kiwis get from A to B – whilst continuing to expand to more cities than ever before, starting with NSW in 2020.”
