If you’re a passionate individual who wants to represent the delivery person community, express your interest by logging into the Uber Driver app or email to complete the nomination form. Successful candidates are chosen by the RPS Group. The form closes on 23 February 2025, 11:45 pm AEDT.

How it works

• Advisors are asked to participate in four forums over two years (two forums each year), which involve meeting with members of the Uber operations and leadership teams. 
• Advisors give feedback, share ideas for solutions, and advocate for the interests of their fellow delivery people. 

The selection process

The Advisory Forums are facilitated by an independent agency, RPS Group. They are an industry leader in running engagement programs. RPS Group selects Advisors from those who expressed interest, with a goal of reflecting the diverse community of delivery people.

Frequently asked questions

• What does being an Advisor involve?
  • Twice a year, Advisors attend the Advisory Forums (facilitated by RPS Group) to meet with Uber representatives to give feedback and share their ideas and solutions. 
  • RPS Group will ask Advisors to complete light preparation work and engage with other delivery people in the Open Hours* program ahead of each forum. 

  *Open Hours are conducted a couple of weeks before the second, third, and fourth forums. 

• How much time will Advisors spend participating in the forums?
  • Advisors are responsible for attending the forums twice each year for two years. Each forum runs approximately 5-6 hours (including breaks). RPS Group will ask Advisors to complete a little less than 10 hours of preparation work (including keeping an ear out for feedback from other delivery people). 
  • Advisors will also spend some time engaging with the wider delivery person community with Open Hours*
  • Before the forums kick off, Advisors will need to spend a few hours getting familiar with the forum set up and their responsibilities.
• Will Advisors need to travel to attend the forums?
  • Yes, travel may be involved. 
  • Reasonable travel costs including food, travel, and accommodation will be covered.
  • Some Advisory Forums may be held virtually (via Zoom). RPS Group will make sure that you are familiar with the platform, so don’t worry if you haven’t used it before.
• What is the criteria for being an Advisor?
  • It’s important that Advisors have a sufficient level of familiarity with the Uber platform in order to participate in the Advisory Forums. To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria at the point of selection:
    • Have completed at least 500 trips with the Uber Driver app
    • Have completed at least one trip in the last 45 days
  • RPS Group will select Advisors from the pool of applicants who meet these criteria, ensuring inclusivity and diversity.
