As a taxi driver-partner, there’s a few things you should know about earning on the Uber platform. Uber Australia has updated its vehicle eligibility requirements in Victoria, allowing taxi vehicles onto the platform.

- Why can’t taxi vehicles pick up riders from the airport?
While they can drop passengers off at the airport, taxi vehicles are not currently eligible for pick-ups from the Airport requested through the Uber app.
Airports have complex operational set-ups for each ground transport operator for airport fee payment, driver waiting, roadway usage, customer pickup and others. Given this, taxis are not able to receive airport pickups via the Uber Driver app.
If this changes in the future we will be sure to let all impacted driver-partners know.
