We’re excited to announce that Uber will be available across the entire state of New South Wales, from the 26th of June. No matter where you are, you’ll soon be able to drive with Uber!
As restrictions are easing and people are moving again, we’re expanding to offer convenient ride options in regional areas, helping to drive recovery in local tourism and support the #LoveNSW initiative. You can drive and earn when it suits you, and fit your trips around what matters most.
Will you be ready to roll at launch?
Sign up steps may take up to two weeks to complete. If you are still interested in driving using the Uber app, make sure your account is all set up when we launch in your area on 26 June.
What you need to know
Order your Uber stickers
There have been delays in regional mail services, so we recommend ordering your Uber sticker right away so you’re ready to drive on 26 June. Whenever you’re ‘online’ and driving with the Uber app, local regulations require a removable rideshare sticker to be displayed in your vehicle.

Your safety is our priority
During this time, we know that safety is more important than ever, for you and everyone in your community. Rest assured that we’ll provide you with information and support to help you and your community stay safe and healthy, such as reimbursing you for eligible disinfectants and hand sanitisers, instructing riders to sit in the back seat to social distance, and up to 14 days financial assistance for eligible driver-partners who are directly affected by COVID-19.
Keep up to date with the steps we are taking to help make sure trips are as safe as possible.
