  • Illegal or illicit items : Products that are illegal to sell, possess, or distribute under Australian or New Zealand law  Examples include: food products that are banned or restricted by local laws, illegal drugs and illicit substances, stolen goods, and counterfeit products.
  • Dangerous or hazardous items: Items that may pose a risk to health or safety. Examples include: firearms, ammunition,  sharp medical devices (regardless of intended use). Items containing flammable, toxic, corrosive, oxidising or harmful substances, knives that could be used as weapons, explosives (e.g., fireworks, flares), hazardous chemicals and poisons (e.g., rat bait, cockroach poison), biohazardous substances, spray paints and graffiti aerosols, vehicle/industrial batteries, and heavy-duty power tools.
  • Regulated items: Products subject to strict legal controls. Examples include: tobacco and vaping products, pharmacist-only or prescription medicines, cannabis and CBD products, and drug/alcohol/smoking paraphernalia (such as cream chargers/nangs, rolling papers, grinders, bongs, and beer hats).
  • Other unauthorised item / inappropriate items:  Items that you do not have permission to sell or send. Examples include: live animals or animal parts, restricted plants or seeds, pornographic or sexually exploitative material, and expired or unsafe food products.
  • Valuables and monetary instruments  Products that carry high value or financial risk. Examples include: cash, lottery tickets, gift cards, high-value jewellery, precious metals, and traveller’s cheques.
  • Digital goods and services:  Non-physical or intangible products. Examples include: software keys, online subscriptions, digital credits, and services.
  • Alcohol (≥0.5% ABV): beer, wine, spirits (requires licensing and approval).
  • Certain pharmaceutical products: over-the-counter medicines and therapeutic supplements.
  • Pharmacy-only medicines: must be sold under pharmacist supervision.
  • Other age-restricted items: e.g., mature-rated video games, sex toys, novelty adult products.
