The Economics Engineering Team provides real time financial reporting, analytics, and insights. This is achieved by utilizing Uber expertise in big data, distributed systems, machine learning, and data visualization.
The Risk team in Hyderabad focuses on two pillars. The Building Risk Studio is where data scientists and data analysts can understand fraud and address it as soon as possible. The Improving Risk Experience deals with interacting with blocked users and bringing them back to our Uber platform. Our goals are to identify and fix fraud scenarios as soon as they happen.
Settlements Engineering works to process transactions around the globe, including settlements, disputes, and payment processing fees. The platform also powers the Finance group with accurate financial modeling and statements.
Eats engineering can largely be divided into two sub teams. Restaurant Onboarding focuses on ensuring restaurants easily get onboard to the Uber platform. Eater Payments manages global payments for Uber Eats. This is one of the most interesting areas given that a lot of markets are still very cash driven. Helping such markets diversify into multiple modes of payment and ultimately reducing cash collection is the key innovation focus for this team.
The Analytics Team are experts in driving analysis, creating automation models, reporting tools for project management, and building dashboards. This enables the team to make the best decisions possible, from strategy to operations, in order to improve risk management, reduce costs for top class customer satisfaction and business growth.
