About Uber Crew Canada

Whether you bring people food or help them get home safely, you keep your communities moving. And you know your work better than anyone.

That’s why in 2022 we launched Uber Crew Canada, a program where drivers and delivery people can offer feedback to Uber to help inform new app features and improve existing ones. We are excited to announce the renewal of the program and bring on a new cohort of crew members to help us improve the Uber experience in 2024!

How it works

What Crew Members do

Crew Members collaborate with Uber in the following ways:

  • Development: Feedback to local teams and app engineers at Uber on new app features
  • Provide continuous feedback: You know the Uber app experience better than anyone and your feedback will help improve app features on an ongoing basis

Crew Members should be available for roughly 30 hours over 12 months (or 2-3 hours per month). Crew Members are compensated by Street Level Strategy for their time.

UFCW Canada offers representation services to drivers and delivery people facing account deactivation or other account disputes. These representation services are made available at no cost to drivers and delivery people. UFCW also engages with drivers and delivery people and meets with Uber Canada on a regular basis to discuss health, safety and other related issues. UFCW Canada and Uber Canada also encourage provincial governments to enact reforms that provide new benefits and preserve worker choice on when, where, and if to work.

  • Crew Members are drivers and delivery people who use the Uber app, like yourself. Crew Members are Uber’s valued users, and Uber is not involved in the selection process for Uber Crew. Uber Crew Canada is comparable to a customer feedback program.

  • Applicants have to meet minimum eligibility requirements determined by Street Level Strategy to be able to apply to become a Crew Member.

Eligible applicants must complete the entire application, including submitting a video. • Crew Members will serve for a 12 month period

  • We expect Crew Members to spend approximately 2-3 hours per month over a 12 month period. This time accounts for meeting virtually with relevant teams, and coordinating with the program’s independent manager, Street Level Strategy.

  • Uber Crew Canada is managed by Street Level Strategy, LLC, an independent consulting firm that specializes in public outreach and consultation. Street Level Strategy is excited to work with Uber in Canada to coordinate input from drivers and delivery people. Street Level Strategy manages all aspects of the application and selection process. Crew Members will work directly with Street Level Strategy during the program.

  • While Uber Crew Canada and Crew US are separate programs, they share a similar goal of collaborating with drivers and delivery people to improve the overall experience on the Uber app.

*The Uber Crew program’s application and selection process will be managed by Street Level Strategy, a third-party company not affiliated with Uber. Other than your phone number and invite code, no details of your application will be shared with Uber.
