Requirements for drivers

  • At least 21 years old
  • Have a 2‑door or 4‑door car that is 20 years old or newer
  • Have a valid driver's licence
  • Proof of Canadian work eligibility and photo identification

Requirements for cyclists and walkers

  • At least 18 years old
  • Proof of Canadian work eligibility and photo identification
  • When signing up be sure to choose 'Delivery by bicycle or foot' under transportation method.

Scooter requirements

  • At least 19 years old
  • Have a motorized scooter under 50cc
  • Have a valid driver's license, scooter registration, and vehicle insurance
  • Proof of Canadian work eligibility and photo identification

Frequently asked questions

  • Different delivery driver jobs here offer different advantages. With some courier jobs, a person might be required to work certain hours on a rigid schedule and have previous delivery experience. With Uber, no previous experience as a courier is required, and you can decide whether you want to drive full-time hours, part-time hours, or just a few hours when it fits your schedule.

  • No. With Uber, you can get paid to deliver as little or as much as you want. You have the flexibility to be a food delivery driver in Ottawa whenever you choose.
