Take photos of the following documents and upload them to your account:

• Driver's licence: 21+ years old, Ontario G Driver’s Licence or equivalent (G1 or G2 is not allowed). If you're uploading an interim licence, please include a government-issued photo ID (e.g. previous driving licence, passport etc.) in the same photo to verify your identity. Make sure to avoid using flash so that your information is clear and readable.
• Proof of work eligibility: Birth certificate, citizenship card, passport, residency card, work permit, Social Insurance Number card or paper, study permit must declare the ability to work off-campus, Certificate of Indian Status, Canadian Forces Identification Card, Nexus card. • Vehicle registration: Both sides (left and right) of the registration document are required. The car must also be in good condition with no cosmetic damage, have 4 doors, no commercial branding, and cannot be rebuilt or salvaged. You are not required to own the vehicle. When taking the picture, ensure that it is not blurry and that all four corners are visible.
• Vehicle insurance: Insurance must be in your name and must be legible. When taking the picture, ensure that it is not blurry and that all four corners are visible.

To drive with Uber in Kingston, you must pass an annual background screening, which includes a review of your driving record and criminal history. In Kingston, you have two options:

Option 1: Online Screening

Most earners complete their screening quickly and securely online via our vendor, Triton. Once your driver's licence and profile picture has been uploaded and approved, you'll receive a link from Triton, our trusted background screening partner. Check the Background Check section of the Documents Hub in your Uber App or your email (including spam) for a link from Triton to begin this process.

Option 2: Provide Your Own Documents

If you prefer to obtain your own screening, you must provide your Driver Abstract (3 Year Driver Record Search from Service Ontario) and a Vulnerable Sector Check (Level 3).

Please note:

• The document must be submitted to Uber within 30 days of the document’s issue date.
• Your local police department may charge a fee for this service.
• Once you have received your document, please contact Uber Support to upload the document for review.

New and existing drivers must pass a background screening every calendar year.
