Express Pay FAQ

Express Pay is a new payment option that lets drivers be paid faster. We are currently running a 6-week pilot program with selected partners. Starting on May 19, selected partners will receive their payment daily (Tuesday through Friday) instead of once per week.

• At what time do I get paid?

  You will receive a payment from Tuesday to Friday, accounting for trips requested from 4am two days previous to 3:59am the day before. For example, trips requested between Monday at 4am and Tuesday 3:59am will be deposited by end of day Wednesday.

• What is the payment schedule?

  Trips Between	Deposit Day
  Monday 4am – Tuesday 3:59am	Wednesday evening
  Tuesday 4am – Wednesday 3:59am	Thursday evening
  Wednesday 4am – Thursday 3:59am	Friday evening
  Thursday 4am – Monday 3:59am	Tuesday evening

• What if a trip starts before 3:59am and ends after 4am?

  Every trip requested before 4am will be included in the payment, according to the schedule shown above. Any trip requested after 4am will be included in the following payment cycle.

• Will all of my trips be included in Express Pay?

  Some trips may require approval before being paid. Once approved, those fares will be paid according to the normal weekly payment schedule.

• Are incentives included in Express Pay?

  Yes, incentives are included in your daily payments as long as they have already been approved and processed. In Quebec, payment of 6.085% taxes (GST and PST) will continue to be included in the regular weekly payment.

• What about extra funds such as Fare Review, Incentive Dispute, etc.?

  Any outstanding payment will be paid by Friday of the following week.

• Where will I see those payments?

  You will be able to view your daily payments in the Driver App, as well as via daily emails.

• Why am I not included in this program?

  We are running a 6-week pilot program with a small group of driver-partners. Based on the outcomes, we may extend it to all partners. We will let you know if you become eligible for Express Pay.

• How can I be included in this program?

  As this is a pilot program with a small group of drivers, it is not possible to opt in for the moment. We will let you know if you become eligible for Express Pay.

• What if I don’t want to be part of this pilot program?

  To opt out of Express Pay, please visit the Driver App support section or help.uber.com. We will revert you back to weekly payments within a week.

• Is there specific banks I should be using for Express Pay?

  If you’ve been able to receive weekly payments from Uber with your current bank, Express Pay should work just fine.

• Can Express Pay be added to a credit card instead?

  No, we require a bank account to transfer funds.
