As we build a home here in Idaho, we want you to know exactly what you should expect from us when it comes to safety and insurance. No matter where you are, our goal is to always move Idahoans around in a safe, reliable manner.
All uberX driver-partners must undergo a pre-screening process, which includes criminal and driving history checks. To add on, a rider’s ability to rate his or her driver provides another layer of data and communication that helps keep a safe experience for all users.
Uber is committed safety which is further demonstrated by our $1 million commercial liability policy from the moment a driver-partner accepts a trip request until the completion of the ride – which goes well above requirements of traditional transportation options in Idaho. Even when a driver-partner is available on the app, but not engaged in a trip, Uber provides contingent coverage of $50,000/individual/incident for bodily injury, $100,000 total/incident for bodily injury and $25,000/incident for property damage should a driver-partner’s personal auto insurance policy not cover for any reason during this period.
We want every Uber to be a safe ride. This is why we have implemented various safety measures and are committed to innovating and refining our model.
