As the heat waves continue and Cairenes start to head north to spend their weeks in Sahel, Uber will be there to provide everyone with a safe, reliable, and affordable means of transport 24 hours a day. Riders in Sahel can expect to receive the same service and quality as they do with Uber in Cairo.
Starting Thursday, July 16th at 10pm, you can be one of the first in Sahel to request a safe, affordable ride at the touch of a button. For all early birds and night crawlers, Uber will be there to help you navigate around your schedule.
PERFECT YOUR PICK-UP
- Being picked up from inside a compound? When your driver accepts your request, be sure to call your driver and tell him your compound name, road, and villa number!
- Has your driver arrived? Don’t make your driver wait too long. Remember, drivers’ time is valuable too and they are more than happy to help you as soon as they accept your request.
- No drinking, smoking or illegal substances in the car. Period.
- Rate your driver based on your driver’s performance and quality of service. Drivers do not control the fare. If you have a question, reply to your receipt and we’ll be happy to review your fare!
- Uber Sahel cars are available 24/7 and will be exclusively servicing all of Sahel. You will not be able to request an Uber from Sahel to take you to Cairo or any other destinations outside of Sahel.
SPLIT YOUR FARE IN SAHEL
When in Sahel, you can split your fare with your friends using the “Fare Split” option in your Uber app. Your fare will be split equally!
FARE BREAKDOWN
- Base Fare: 6 EGP
- Per minute: 0.55 EGP
- Per km: 1.9 EGP
- Minimum charge: 20 EGP
- Cancellation charge: 15 EGP
