Welcome to Phoenix! We couldn’t welcome you without a congratulations to you and your team after that incredible win last year.
To make your visit a little smoother, here are some tips for getting around the valley.
The stadium: Sloan Park, Mesa
Located in the East Valley, Sloan Park is home of the Chicago Spring Training facility. You don’t have to be a pinch runner to get in and out of Sloan park quickly, just request your ride at Rio Salado and Riverview Pkwy.
- Pro tip: Jim Beam wants to make sure you have a safe ride home. Just use promo code JIMBEAM to get $10 off a ride to or from Sloan Park. Must be 21+ Expires 4/1/2017
The extras:
- While you’re in town, remember there are lots of places that’ll remind you of home. The new spring training stadium for Chicago is designed to make you feel like you’re at Wrigley Field—so why not go all in on the Windy City theme and round out your experience with a trip to Portillo’s Hot Dogs? The Tempe location of the Chicago-based restaurant chain is less than two miles from the Cub’s spring training stadium and is the hands down best place for an authentic, Chicago-style, dragged through the garden hot dog in metro Phoenix. Don’t forget an order of cheese fries and a chocolate cake shake to complete your meal.
- Chicago-based Lou Malnati’s and Gino’s East are also in Phoenix. Get your pizza fix no matter where you are.
- Riverview Park, one of Mesa’s best features, is less than a mile from the baseball park. The Desert Botanical Garden, the Mill Avenue District, and the Phoenix Zoo are all within 5 miles of the park, too. If you’re looking for things to do all weekend, check out our suggestions.
Enjoy your stay, and remember, we’re only a tap away.
